Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line Bookings Open Ahead of India Launch
Volkswagen India will launch the 2025 Tiguan R-Line on 14 April, with bookings open for Rs 25,000. It will run on a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine.

Volkswagen India will launch the 2025 Tiguan R-Line on 14 April, with bookings now open on its official website for a token amount of Rs 25,000. The SUV will be available in six shades: Cipressino Green Metallic, Nightshade Blue Metallic, Grenadilla Black Metallic, Oryx White Mother of Pearl Effect, and Oyster Silver Metallic. It measures 4,539mm in length, 1,859mm in width, and 1,656mm in height, with a 2,680mm wheelbase. Imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), it is expected to be priced at around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2025 Tiguan R-Line will come with six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). ADAS includes lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control and forward collision mitigation. These systems aim to improve driving safety and convenience.

With the upcoming launch of the Tiguan R-Line, Volkswagen plans to expand its SUV range in India, targeting buyers seeking a sportier and feature-loaded alternative to the standard model.
Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line: Design and Interior
The R-Line stands out with a gloss black front fascia, a redesigned bumper with larger air intakes, and full LED lighting. It also includes a front light bar and interconnected taillamps. The SUV rides on 19-inch alloy wheels, giving it a strong road presence.
Inside, the Tiguan R-Line offers a driver-focused cabin. It includes a flat-bottom 3-spoke steering wheel, red contrast stitching, and trim accents. The SUV comes with a 10.25-inch digital cockpit, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The cabin also features 3-zone ambient lighting.
It offers heated and ventilated front seats, bolstered sports seats for support, and a panoramic sunroof. These features, along with its design and tech, make the Tiguan R-Line a strong option for SUV buyers in India.
Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line: Engine
The Tiguan R-Line will come with Volkswagen’s 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, tuned for stronger performance. Unlike the standard Tiguan, which delivers 187bhp, the R-Line offers 201bhp, providing more power. The SUV maintains a torque of 320Nm, ensuring solid mid-range response and strong pulling power.
